Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
This policy explains how Nimbus handles information when you use the website, apps, and Together service.
Information you provide
When you create a Nimbus account, we process your display name, email address, password-derived credential, device name, and account session tokens. Together also processes friend relationships, messages, file metadata, and files you choose to send.
Information from your device
The Mac app can process Now Playing information, calendar events, clipboard history, shelf items, Bluetooth status, and optional Face Unlock data. These are used locally unless you explicitly enable a sync or sharing feature. Face Unlock templates remain on your Mac.
Live audio
Audio is captured only while you choose to host Live. It is transmitted live to accepted listeners and is not designed to be recorded or stored by Nimbus. Where available, same-network delivery is used; otherwise audio may pass through the Nimbus relay.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, device pairing, friend presence, messages, file delivery, sync, and Live. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and controls
You can stop Live, remove local data, sign out devices, and remove the app at any time. Service data is retained only as needed to operate the beta, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. File transfers expire automatically.
Security and contact
We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS and account tokens, but no internet service is perfectly secure. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email yournimbus@gmail.com, or use the project’s support page.
